I love the country roads of old Florida leading to quaint small towns, the cutest shops & bistros, AND vintage treasures! Micanopy and Cedar Key are two of my favorites!
With plenty of benches and comfy pillows to just be still, surrounded by a downtown and homes from the 1800’s, it’s easy to let your imagination drift back to days gone by. Time just kinda comes to a stand-still sitting under the moss draped trees of Micanopy or basking in Cedar Key’s seaside views!
With the cutest shops just ready for the vintage lover...I am full of delight! Here’s a few of my latest treasures.
This vintage gathering bucket! I haven’t decided yet what I will do with it, but my first idea is to fill all things with flowers! Can’t you just picture Spring stems peering out of it!
I came across this old, redwood trellis with the perfect aged patina. I actually got two of them. I could use them for the obvious in the garden, but I want to do something more creative.
And then there’s this delightful treasure. A moss covered vase. I definitely see some spring blooms rising in a stately fashion to announce spring from this nature elegant vase.
You’ll have to check back in for the next blog to see what emerges with those vintage treasures as a before and after for some great diy ideas for you!
One of the home decor vibes i’ve found myself drawn to lately is a mix of elegant and rustic.
Of course, a stop at one of the wineries of old Florida is a must on the way home. After gathering up all these treasures, I’m thirsty! I love the Dakota Winery!
And a sunset over Payne’s Prairie is the perfect ending to a day full of all kinds of treasures!
Be sure to check back to see what these vintage treasures become!
Happy almost spring!
Live beautiful from the inside out,
Nan xoxo
